meeting held on July 19, 2010
INTERVENTION UNDER ART.
21 SITTING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 19 July 2010
Chairman Manfredi Palmeri - Prime
Join the Deputy Secretary General Mario Zaccaria

President Palmer gave the floor to the District Councillor.
Councillor as Neighbourhoods taken:
"Thank you, President. I would like to talk about an episode happened in Milan a few days ago and open a discussion with some consideration.
A life or of conduct at risk can have all, in fact, fight the spread of AIDS has also been complicated by the fact and prejudice that "time was a disease that took only gays and drug addicts" and all we saw with 'is going to happen.
If we add the same direction at the Policlinico dell'Avis calls for a rethinking focus attention on risk behavior and the categories of donors should be split off from all sexual orientations, heterosexual - I wonder - with a multiplicity of non- protected, it is perhaps more at risk of a gay man with a lasting relationship.
Un conto è dire “non va bene quel sangue”; is one thing to say: "you as a person does not go well and you exclude".
So, I will also say, while Argentina, which is not Sweden approves gay marriage, here in Italy we are still to define people by categories, and thus to discriminate. In Milan, in Rome, in Italy there is often a deafening silence when they do episodes of homophobia. At the same time we read, for example
, there are signs that in Rome, where it says that you do not rent to gay couples, and not coincidentally Italy, compared to other European countries, is the first for sexual discrimination . Last consideration: Milan is not self-sufficient, relative to the requirements blood and is often forced to trade. Is decreasing the number of donors, since only a few institutions like
Hospital and hospitals associated with him, but not all hospitals in Milan so restrictive application of the protocols, I ask the City Council three things:
1) a Health Committee which is heard also the direction dell'Avis to understand, to ask them what are the criteria to be used for donations;
2) ask that the City play an active role in recognizing discrimination as the behavior of some hospitals to consider monogamous relationship
male homosexual behavior as a risk
3) that during the campaign to donate blood are preferred in advertising structures which do not make this discrimination. Thank you. " The President acts as
Palmeri:
"Thank you, Councillor Districts. I ask the offices to record the intervention of the District and to consider the inervento as a formal request to convene the Commission, beyond some interaction that suggest you have directly with the Commission President, whose themes relate to the topic she faced during his speech. "
omitted
Councillor Districts so involved: "I wanted to respond to the intervention of Luoni adviser, saying that my desiderio di andare in Commissione Salute e di sentire i responsabili dell’Avis, l’organismo preposto, tra l’altro, da anni alla raccolta di sangue, andava proprio nella direzione di approfondire quali sono i criteri, in caso di donazione, quindi non di stigmatizzare delle categorie di persone, ma di andare, invece, ad analizzare i comportamenti e i comportamenti a rischio”.

Sharking Japan Molested
The good news Bell'Italia homophobia and UN
Che dire, a volte mancano persino le parole per esporre l'amarezza rispetto a quello che si legge sui giornali o su web, a volte capita di interrogarsi su come mai ci si trovi questa classe politica ma poi si parla con la gente, si esce dal guscio delle amicizie e si capisce come facciamo ad essere rappresentati by certain people, the majority voted for them.
And so, while on Sunday in Vienna opened the Eighteenth World Conference on AIDS, the most important event on the theme, with the Ministers of Health of many countries will discuss the policies to be implemented to try to reduce infection, remember that in Italy 10 people become infected with HIV every day, just the first act of the summit will be the presentation of the "Vienna Declaration" in which many countries are committed to implement harm-reduction policies on drug use, which Italy had begun to very well in the 80 years but on which he wanted to erase all the good work. In addition to the great absence in the conference in Vienna Italy also shines for its failings, actions and interventions such as condom distribution in prisons that the EU Commission had asked in 2009 - never made, and the presentation of the report two years - ever made, payment of allowances for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS - terribly late. Meanwhile
Spresiano (TV) the mayor surrenders to talk, that's what I said placing a curfew for gay, transgender and prostitutes
"Gays are sick and deviant, they need psychological help" - says the mayor - we must find out where they are and identify them, and if they are illegal immigrants must be deported. The people have seen them on the Piave, on Pontebbana and in public parks. To say that these practices sono vergognose è poco, siamo al degrado morale.
Fortunately
on earth there is not only our country, and so unlucky last Monday, the United Nations credited with consultative status (non-voting), the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC). The vote was 23 yes, including Italy, USA, Britain, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Japan, No. 13, including Egypt, China, Russia, Nigeria, Morocco, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Arabia and Venezuela, 13 abstentions . We can only wish all'IGLHRC a good job!

How To Dress Grunge/rocker
an emergency blood in Milan think to prohibit gay donors to donate!
I had just mentioned in the post tonight, because the donations are prohibited to homosexuals even though the veto in office no longer exists and so, given that the Hospital has expanded its ban also came in other hospitals, here is a letter from a gay donor who was sent home today after years of donations.
The letter is posted on the blog senzalimiti
Wednesday, July 14, 2010
This morning I went to donate blood, as eight years or so, as twenty donations already made.
I arrived at the Gaetano Pini with a lot 'of hunger, because I had not had breakfast, and went down to the department donors.
from his embarrassment and hesitation I sense immediately where it will arrive.
I already know that the clinic will not accept blood from gays.
Years ago there was a case that they had talked for a while 'but the hospital's guidelines have not changed.
And I always thought I was lucky not to have gone to the clinic, but had started to give the Pines, where, since the first visit, I explained that being gay and having a stable partner.
Doctor comes to the point: "As you know the directives of the Hospital are clear, we can not accept gay donors. I do not agree ... blah blah blah ... but I have to answer to their superiors ... bla bla bla ... I'm so sorry ... blah blah blah ... we've known for years ... I also know the chemical (also tamer him) ... bla bla bla ... I do not feel like today and I can not give you .... "
I could not believe my ears.
Until yesterday, my blood was fine, in fact I even called at home if maybe I spend too much time between a donation and the other, went well for more than twenty times and today is no longer good? I have given nine liters in eight years and now I can not? And why? Just because I'm gay?
He says "Giving is not a right, but should be a pleasure, per fare una cosa utile”.
Ci salutiamo, vuole abbracciarmi, mi dice “Non sparire, torna a trovarci”.

Update from Uganda
