THE N. 1 CHE NON SARA '-MAYBE-THE CIVIL WAR IN FOOTBALL No.1

| PATRICK PETERSON |
The draft has its appeal and its mysteries. One of the mysteries is that a cornerback can not and should not become the first overall pick in the draft. Why this is so difficult to understand is the fact. In fact, in each case, the entire history of the draft, never a cornerback was selected as the first overall pick. Otherwise, it is well known propensity of teams to draft a QB. Of course, you might reply that the importance of a QB for a team is not the amount that could play a CB as strong. Ok, but you've never heard of Island Revis, the Jets defense zone where it is impossible to throw a ball for you to own the player's grasp before No 24 opponent? The defense, remember, do win partirte.

Per-almost-unanimous consensus, the best prospect of the next draft is Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU Tigers. On him, however, lies the curse CB / 1 pick. This year, the Panthers took part in compact ranks (Rivera the HC and GM Hurney) at LSU's pro day to follow Peterson. And with their representatives from all the 32 NFL teams. The performance of Peterson was excellent, as is already the combine. At the end of the pro day, the Broncos (holders of the 2nd pick in the draft) have immediately scheduling a meeting with the CB. E 'firm conviction of the 32 teams that Peterson, as well as being the best prospect of the next draft, and also pick the "safest" in terms of absolute danger factor bidonatura. Only in April we will know if Carolina will break become customary law.
