Weddings and civil partnerships in the world
Thursday the Senate of the State of Hawaii, a week after the approval of that law by the House, dismissed favorably to the law on civil unions Bait and homosexuals. From 1 January 2012 in fact, it seems as if the governor will sign the law in the U.S. state of Hawaii couples who register have the same rights as married couples, a success that this time seems to be closer since a year ago, the former state governor vetoed and signed the bill. The situation should not happen again because the government changed and the current was elected thanks to the LGBT community and announced the signing of the law in the next 10 days, we wait.
Meanwhile in California, the Supreme Court announced in September that will decide on the suspension of Proposition 8 decided by Judge Vaughn Walker of the Federal Court the day after the referendum in which they won the Proposition 8 that would have wiped out the law that equated marriage gay than straight. The state authorities have not objected to this ruling, but some conservative groups have been pursuing the case as presenting injured party in federal court ... I do not see how anyone could feel injured by the extension of rights to those who first saw them that those who had nothing has changed perhaps more than the injured party would consider them part of brain-damaged!
Even in Spain in 2012, the Constitutional Court will give its views on the legitimacy of two more widely discussed, the one on the abortion and gay marriage. The two laws were strongly desired by the Zapatero government and strongly opposed by the Catholic Church and the English right and against which the PP has been used.
By March 2012 the Constitutional Court then will comment on the actions of the People's Party and we will know whether these progressive laws and changed for the better in Spain sono legittime o no.
