  1. rapporto diretto. Il rapporto con i produttori è quanto più possibile diretto al fine di evitare intermediazioni speculative
  2. democrazia organizzativa. I produttori sono riuniti in gruppi, associazioni o cooperative basate sul principio della partecipazione
  3. continuità nelle relazioni. La continuità nelle relazioni e negli ordini è garantita in modo che il produttore possa progettare il proprio futuro
  4. agricoltura biologica e rispetto per l'ambiente. Viene dato particolare sostegno ed incentivo alle coltivazioni biologiche e alle produzioni eco-compatibili
  5. ricaduta sociale. Viene data priorità ai progetti che abbiano una ricaduta sociale verso la comunità in cui il produttore, con altri produttori, opera
  6. prefinaziamento. Viene pagato un prefinanziamento al produttore (fino al 50% del valore della merce) e il saldo avviene appena la merce arriva nei magazzini
  7. prezzo equo ovvero retribuzione dignitosa. Il prezzo pagato al produttore:
  • corrisponde ad una retribuzione dignitosa del lavoro svolto;
  • valorizza i costi reali di produzione;
  • viene stabilito in accordo con il produttore;
  • tiene in considerazione il principio della parità di retribuzione a parità di lavoro svolto per uomini e donne;
  • un prezzo stabile, non soggetto agli sbalzi del mercato regolato dalle Borse e dalla speculazione finanziaria;
  • un prezzo superiore o uguale ai prezzi stabiliti dagli organismi internazionali di commercio equo;
